Using Confluence to migrate Confluence (and Jira and Bitbucket)

Hi Atlassian Community!

I'm Carolina Carvalho, one of the Senior Cloud Migrations Managers here at Atlassian. My team and I are dedicated to giving you the best migration experience possible, meaning that we're always thinking of new tools we can create to help.

That's why I'm excited to share the Confluence Collaboration Space for Migrations. We built this Confluence space for you to use as your very own dedicated hub for planning and tracking your migration with and across your internal team members and stakeholders.

The space contains a comprehensive view of Atlassian's recommendations and best practices for successfully migrating Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket to the cloud. The content in this space is organized into different phases of the cloud migration lifecycle, offering helpful documentation, informative videos, checklists, and toolkits. This space is for you, so we encourage you to edit it and use it as you see fit to help make sure your migration goes smoothly.

You can download the Confluence Collaboration Space for Migrations here.

* Please keep in mind this import needs to be performed by someone who is part of the org-admins or site-admins group and then the Space Permissions can be edited.

Watch the video below to help you navigate your collaboration space.

Migrations are a team effort and we're committed to doing our part. Please comment below with any feedback or questions you have so we can continuously improve this space and our migration support.

Happy migrating!

Pretty cool! We've been using runbooks in Excel formats so far, but might switch now to tracking everything down in Confluence 😄

I always use Confluence for these projects but having a dedicated template to build upon is a great idea!
I'm just wondering if that space can be imported without problem in a Confluence server / DC instance without problems? Thing is most of the time a customer or partner doesn't necessarily have a Confluence Cloud instance already but is just preparing things. Also, I wouldn't want to import such critical content in a trial Confluence Cloud site ;)
