I'm Ali, a product manager on Atlassian's Cloud Transition team. Our team focuses on helping our customers plan and prepare for their cloud transitions to enhance their users' experience. Today, I'm thrilled to announce a milestone in our journey—the Early Access Program (EAP) for our latest tool, Assessments.

Introducing Assessments

In our ongoing effort to enhance cloud migrations, we've built Assessments—a tool that helps you gain an understanding of your Jira data. Assessments enable you to identify essential migration considerations in advance, facilitating proactive migration planning and preparation. This approach supports faster and more efficient migrations by analyzing your data against Atlassian guardrails and provides clear, actionable insights and recommendations to prepare you for your migration.

How it works

Your journey starts with using the Jira Cloud Migration Assistant for initial data collection, which takes 24 hours. After that, you'll move to admin.atlassian.com to upload your data into Assessments for analysis.

Analyzing your data using Assessments:

• Organizational view: See an overview of your instances that have been assessed, highlighting important actions.

• Instance-level insights: Dive deeper with detailed insights for each instance. Understand how your data aligns with Atlassian's best practices and get tailored recommendations to improve your readiness.
