Community release notes for August 14, 2023

Welcome back to another edition of community release notes, for the latest and greatest happenings on the community and beyond.

Congratulations: to the Atlassian Community for planting 30,000 trees on the online community during Likes for Trees II!

I am thrilled to announce the Atlassian Foundation has matched our entire donation, which means funding for another 30,000 trees this year, for a grand total over the past two years of 132,499 total trees planted! 🌳 Check out the updated breakdown on the Tree Tracker.

New: After migrating the last of our collections, "Interests" is now empty and this option is now gone from the community navigation.  We hope this will help streamline the user experience.

Updated: The Atlassian Authors group is now open to all Rising Stars, with new content and initiatives coming soon. To get in on the action, get your Rising Star designation and request to join.

New: the App Central group is open, with an updated how-to guide for partners, updated guidelines, and more great content coming soon.  If you're an Atlassian Partner, you won't want to miss the opportunity to get in on the ground floor for what's coming next.

That's all we have for you today, stay tuned and have a great week!

Thanks for the updates Queen @Monique vdB

Will App Central be replacing the Marketplace collection, or compliment it?

Thanks @Monique vdB for the update, I love the simplified navigation with only Products & Groups.

@Andy Gladstone we have an integration with the marketplace so we have to keep it in place for now for Q&A. We will likely consolidate them when we upgrade to Aurora. 😉

@Monique vdB - could the content in Marketplace be moved, and Marketplace hidden so the integration doesn't break? Don't want to confuse our visitors - at first blush, App Central and Marketplace sound really similar.

@Dave Liao hiding it is a good idea! I'll investigate that.
