Atlassian tools that enhance product management

Hello everyone!

I see in this group a bunch of Jira experts in different roles - do we also have here people working directly in product teams, maybe even some Product Owners/ Project Managers?

I wonder what Atlassian tools you use to manage your product lifecycle. Maybe you do have any great ideas/ good practices to share?

I can start with Trello boards - my team at Deviniti uses this solution to share product roadmaps with our customers and let them vote on the most desired features. The board can be shared so everyone with a link (example here) can join as observers. This link can be further published or sent out to your customers directly allowing everyone interested to track application progress, plans and to share feedback.

Any other Atlassian tools you recommend that can make product management easier?

Hi,
I'm a Product Manager and a Jira Admin on the side :)

I've been trying out Jira Product Discovery, which looks really good for managing ideas into roadmap and then execution, tying it to Jira Software for execution. You will need licenses if you have more than 3 people that need to manage the roadmap (up to three 'creators' will be free), but access for 'contributors' is free and anyone can be a contributor.

There is a Chrome extension that allows you to add insights from other places directly, as well as allows people to create Ideas in your Product Discovery project.

You can have people vote on ideas, provide comments etc. without needing a license for them.

I recommend checking it out, it has great potential. It is currently in Public Beta, so all users are free, but once it goes into GA it will be a chargeable product over 3 Contributors.

Hello @Katarzyna Szumilas_Deviniti_

I'd like to recommend Time in Status for Jira Cloud which helps to improve team efficiency and identify delays. It generates 7 types of status time reports, so you can track how fast the team members solve each tasks, on which stage some delays occur and track all the issue data in a single place:

- status time;

- average time in status;

- status entrance date;

- how many transitions between statuses occur;

- how many times an issue has been in each status;

-track Cycle and Lead time.

and much more.

Also, it allows exporting reports to CSV or XLSX files and sharing them with your colleagues or third-party analytical systems (Power BI, Qlik, etc).

This add-on is developed by my SaaSJet team. Please, let me know if you have any questions.

Hi @Katarzyna Szumilas_Deviniti_ ,

As for now, Jira Product Discovery is definitely one of the tools you should try. The Atlassian team has also just brought it from Beta to GA recently.

Still, if you want to have better product management from top to bottom, I would recommend Routemap - Roadmaps, Structure Gantt Timeline & Prioritization for Jira.

It will help you visualize your product and project roadmap so that anyone on (or off) the team can easily understand. It also integrates with your tasks and projects in progress on Jira so you can start a new roadmap with ease.

Besides, you can prioritize your tasks and issues on Jira and focus working on the ones that matter to your team and your customers.

The best thing is that all of this happens in the same place, in the same dashboard. So you can always track, manage, and update tasks, projects, or prioritization without switching tabs.
