I am trying to automate the process of when a sprint is created, for Jira to automatically create a Version(release). I see the trigger and action however am not familiar with the syntax to on how to get the name of the sprint to populate as the name of the version. The Version should copy the sprint dates and its associated tickets from the sprint.. Any help is much appreciated
Hi @Marco Escobar ,
The automation to create a version upon sprint creation is simple and it looks like this:
However, when you create a sprint, you don't insert any dates, or any issues. First you create the sprint and THEN you edit the sprint dates and add issues in it.
You could handle with a manual or scheduled trigger the rest of variables you want to edit (dates and possibly issues).
