Using Trello to Create a Ripple of Change

Happy Ocean is a grassroots organization made up of Prince Edward Island residents, from all walks of life, with a common goal of creating a ripple of change to help preserve the precious gifts of our oceans, island, and planet.

The committee was formed on March 2nd, 2019 and meets on a bi-weekly basis. Through this blog and other green community initiatives, the Happy Ocean committee aims to spread awareness and education to Islanders on the dramatic impacts of single-use plastic, and reinforcing how individual efforts collectively can make a difference for our oceans and our planet.

We have been using Trello to plan, organize, collaborate and communicate between meetings. It has been a gamechanger for our committee. Trello has made it so efficient and effective to work together as a committee with 13 members.

We have organized Power Hour roadside and ocean cleanups, beeswax wrap sessions, and are currently in the process of a 31-day plastic free challenge (today is day 17). You can find out more by visiting the Happy Ocean blog: https://happyoceanpei.blogspot.com/
