Marketplace Spotlight: K15t

This month, we want to highlight one of our longstanding vendors, K15t , which is a company with its own suite of tools that help manage and export content from Confluence and Jira.

What do they do?

Located in Stuttgart, Germany, K15t is an Atlassian Platinum Solution Partner and Atlassian Marketplace vendor with a long list of apps. They started out specializing in Confluence apps that help customers perform a variety of functions managing, publishing and exporting documentation and have grown to include their own suite for Confluence and Jira.

Who uses them?

Over 5000 companies use K15t -

How K15t joined the Atlassian Ecosystem

K15t recently did an article in the Atlassian Community where they talked about how they built one of the first ever apps in Marketplace. TL/DR - Back in 2002, Stefan Kleineikenscheidt (co-founder of K15t) was helping his company research options for bug tracking when he and a coworker came across Atlassian's Jira product after some extensive searching on the web. After several years working in tech, Stefan started working on a side project that turned into Scroll Exporter for Confluence. From there they bootstrapped the company and started building out more apps.  They eventually had luck convincing their customers to use their apps but found that they spent the majority of their time supporting customers with their Atlassian toolset. This foundation working with Atlassian allowed them to become Atlassian Experts, now know as Solution Partners, and grow into the 50 person company that they are today.

Plus they knew MCB and Scott back in 2002. Don't you love this flashback and their map of world domination?

Thoughts?

How did your company get its start working with the Atlassian Ecosystem? Leave us a note below, we'd love to hear from you!

Hi @matador86,

Is there a particular app by K15t that you want for Confluence Server? Most of there apps are available for both but if there is one that you particularly want and don't see an option for server, I'd recommend reaching out to them directly via hello@k15t.com.

Hi @matador86,

Thanks for your interest in our apps for Confluence Cloud - as Emilee mentioned, some of our apps are already available for Confluence / Jira Cloud (Scroll Word Exporter, Scroll PDF Exporter, Scroll Documents, Scroll ImageMap, and Backbone Issue Sync).

If you're interested in any other of our apps for Cloud, please let us know via hello@k15t.com, and we'll be happy to give you an update on the state regarding a Cloud version.

Cheers,
Nils
