Why does auto-schedule not assign stories to sprints?

Hi,

We're importing epics and stories with Target Start and Target End dates at the epic level which are correctly represented in the roadmap view. The stories within those epics have time based estimates imported against them and have since been allocated to team (with a capacity). 

When using the auto-schedule action I expected any stories that have an estimate and a team to be allocated to a sprint, but instead they appear to be ignored.

Am I overlooking something?
