Show only releases in the timeline view

Our executive team wants a high-level timeline view of our targeted release for a calendar year.  Currently, the Portfolio for Jira includes Epics (we have multiple Epics in a release) and that is too much detail for our executives.  Our plan also includes future releases (we've allocated time to address a use case or part of a use case), but we don't have Epics or stories assigned to a future release.

How do I configure Portfolio for Jira to display only releases on the timeline?
