Context: We have a routine each week where we manually sync target dates from our respective Plans, into "roadmap target dates" in a combined / enterprise Program view. Is there a way to simply automate the carryover of the "Target Dates" to "roadmap start/end dates"?

Why not using the same fields in Plans and other usual Jira views ?
I personally use "target start" and "target end" on plans and I added them on the regular issue view so it's clear for everyone and always in sync
