Setting up backlogs for multiple teams for Portfolio for JIRA

I want to set up backloga for multiple teams with Portfolio for JIRA in mind. I am considering two options - one JIRA project per team or multiple teams in one team project. Which is the best option for working with Portfolio for JIRA?

I want all teams to be have their work linked to the same set of epics. But each team has a separate backlog and they don't work on each others backlog. They do have dependencies between their work though.

I appreciate any advice.
