Project burndown chart

I could really use a chart very similar to the sprint burndown chart.  I want to show the addition of work to our 3 year roadmap over time, the work that remains for the team and the work that is completed.  BTW, we track efforts by hours & not story points in my group.  I know, not ideal but it is what management wanted to see.
This type of chart could help me show:

  • Work is trending up
  • Work on this project is not being prioritized (people are not spending effort on it)
  • Timelines are pushing to the right

We have to hit a deadline that is 3 years out so I need to prove to management when we are off track.  I am trying to create something like this on my own but its very manual and not nearly as helpful as what I see in a sprint burndown from JIRA.

Thx!

Thanks for sharing this requirement @Rebecca C. Unfortunately we don't have any plans to implement anything like this in the near future for Advanced Roadmaps. It might be possible that another marketplace application has something that can assist in this regard though.

I appreciate that this isn't a great answer, but I just wanted to set your expectations realistically. I will however share this requirement with our Product Management team.

Regards,
Dave
