Portfolio for Jira was disabled and can't enable it again.

tueda April 16, 2019

During uploading other add-ins, I found Portfolio for Jira was disabled. (I didn't touch it at all.)

I tried to enable it, getting attached error. I checked logs but there are too many logs and I couldn't find "portfolio" in them.

Please tell me how I can enable it.

Hi Teruhisa,

Just an FYI I edited the Screenshot to hide your SEN so its not publicly viewable, and I also found a duplicate post for this that has now been removed.  so make sure to Reply to this thread so we can continue looking at this.

Also to build off what Petr noted, lets get some details from the logs and take a closer look, but Initially Looking at this error it usually occurs when the alternate add-on you installed has a conflicting dependency package causing the other add-on app's dependency to fail to start up correctly while the plugin manager was restarting packages for the new plugin install.  A restart may clear this out but if not check the logging for a section called "FAILED PLUGIN REPORT"  which may give us some details on this if this is the case.

Also out of curiosity what version of Jira are you on and what was the other add-on / version of that add-on you installed so we can see if there is a known conflict.

Regards,
Earl

Thanks for the clean-up !

Re-start didn't solve it.

Even after un-installing a few apps, it persisted.

Therefore, I uninstall and install Portfolio for Jira. Then recovered.

My Jira version is 8.1.0.

Other apps were mirror lake and another excel related app (forgot the name).

Again, thanks for follow-up.

Hey Teruhisa,

Happy to help and I just wanted to make 100% sure I read that correctly that you were able to recover and get everything running after an uninstall and reinstall of portfolio, and you're back in a good state currently.  Correct?

If you're still seeing error in the app let me know and I will create a support request for you so we can take a closer look at the logging and get you up and running again.

Also I will do a bit of testing locally with the noted Jira and app versions to see if I can reproduce this behavior to see whats happening, I will let you know If this turns out to be a bug in the add-ons or if there is a conflicting dependency package between the add-on apps.

Regards,
Earl

Hi,

can you try to click on enable and share part of your log since that action?

Ah, thanks for your response.

Sorry, I didn't notice this message.

And actually, now it's working after re-installation.

Thanks again.
