How to create hierarchy for my project that does not affect other projects?

For a Company managed project, I want to be able to create a simple hierarchy that does not use an Epic.

Reason we have used the Company managed project is because we need to pull issues from two different projects.

But now it looks like I cannot create my hierarchy to be able to see my Issues in my roadmap

Has anyone else experienced this before?

Hi @Lisa_Miller welcome to the Atlassian Community!

This is not natively possible in Jira as Advanced Roadmaps only allows you to define 1 specific hierarchy for the entire site.

However, with a third-party app like Structure - Flexible Jira Project Management you can create any hierarchy you like between issue types.
