Does advanced roadmaps only work on nextgen projects?

I'm trying to set up advanced roadmaps. This might be a very stupid question but just making sure:

a) Is advanced roadmaps the same as jira portfolio?

b) Do advanced roadmaps work only on Next gen project types?

a) advanced roadmaps is the new name of Jira Portfolio.

b) It works on classic projects as well.
