Can you allocate a Team to a Sub-Task?

Hiya,

I am trying to assign a team to a sub-task but it's a greyed out button sadly (right side of the screenshot).

Is there even a possibility to assign a team to a sub-task? Unbenannt.png

Thanks in advance!

Hello @Sankin_ Daniel and welcome to the community!

To my understanding, you cannot edit the teams field of subtasks in ARJ.

This is supported by the idea that subtasks are not independent issues, rather they are parts of a large unit of work. So for example, if a parent issue belongs to Team A, then part of that issue (i.e. subtasks) also belongs to Team A naturally. You can’t assign Team B to the subtask as it would logically contradict the integrity of ownership on the task  level.

Best regards,

Hamza

Thank you Hamza, cheers.
