Can team member absences be linked to a confluence calendar

I would like to have one place for team members to enter their planned absences.  Currently they have to enter their time off in their team calendar in Confluence and on their team member absences in Portfolio.  

Is it possible to easily link the Portfolio team absences to the team calendar in Confluence so that if they enter their time off on the Confluence calendar, it automatically enters that absence on the team member record in Jira Portfolio or vise versa?

Currently this isn't possible but there is an existing feature request here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JPOSERVER-257 that you can add your vote to.
