Can't tag people in tickets

Hey all,

I have a very strange issue. When I reply in a ticket raised, I can't tag anyone. E.g. I will write @Bob and no dropdown list will appear nor the name turns blue.

Let meknow if you know how to resolve this.

Hi @Alexandra Pentazou

To @ mention users, you need the Global Permission Browse users and groups

If you are a Jira Admin, you can check whether you have this permission:

  1. Go to Settings (cog icon in top-right)
  2. Select System from the drop-down menu
  3. Select Global Permissions from the left-hand menu
  4. Ensure you have access to the permission Browse users and groups - i.e you are a member of one of the Groups assigned to this permission

If you are not a Jira Admin, you should contact one of your internal Admins for more assistance - this might be your IT Team, or your Platform Support Team, etc.

For more information on Global Permissions, see this help page: https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/manage-global-permissions/

If this does not solve your issue, let us know so we can advise further :)

Hi @Alexandra Pentazou , welcome to the Atlassian Community!

You will need to have the Browse users and groups global permission in order to use this functionality. You may need to get in touch with your site admin if you do not have this permission
