Can one skip a hierarchy level in the parent/child link relationship?

I have a story which I want to put directly under an initiative. but in the parent dropdown list, it only showed choice for EPICs but not initiative.

Hi @Sam ,

You will still be able to do this via issue linking but you will not be able to do this using the parent drop down list. The parent drop down list uses the hierarchy that has been configured.

Hi @Sam

This is only possible if you change the hierarchy.

Skipping levels is not possible

This would mean that you would change the advanced roadmap hierarchy settings. You are able to set another issue type at the same level as the Epic issue type

Due keep in mind that this is a global setting and will have impact on the whole Jira system.

So every other roadmap view will be impacted by this change.
