Can I add an epic from a board to the scope of my plan?

Mark Wissler May 18, 2018

For whatever reason, I'm missing a couple epics on one of the boards that are included in my plan. How can I add an epic from a board back into the scope for my plan?

Hi @Mark Wissler,

To clarify; you have Epics in your plan however they are not displayed on a scrum board?

Thanks

Sorry - the opposite. The epics exist on the board, but aren't on my plan.

Hi @Mark Wissler,

Dumb question: Are you hiding the Fix Version field on the Epic issue type?

Thanks

I'm not, I don't think.

That is, if I go to the board itself and look at the epic, there's a Fix Version field on the epic's page (though it's "None".)

@[deleted] Got it!

I had excluded a particular epic accidentally during plan creation. To re-add that epic, I did:

  1. Click on the ellipsis in the upper left -> configure
  2. Source data -> Issue sources -> click edit sources
  3. Click 'next' until I get to the list of epics, find the missing epic, check it, finish.

Thanks for your questions above, that led me to check this.
