Advanced Roadmap Plan is Empty

Edited

I'm attempting to create a plan for the first time and it's not going well. I have the following:

  • Project X
  • Sprint Board Y (for tickets in Project X)
  • Filter Z (which defines the contents of Sprint Board Y)
    • Note: There are epics _and_ other types of tickets in this filter
  • Filter A (which _only_ has epics in it)

No matter what I choose as Issue Sources in the "Create Plan" widget (or post-create configuration), I see nothing in the plan and no items in step 5 of the creation widget.

We're running v8.17 of JIRA Data Center.

@Sara Hekmat I looked through that document and only some of the items apply as I'm not even seeing the items in the configuration wizard. Below is what I see... nothing.  I'm using my project as the source, so I assume _something_ would be visible.

I did have to turn on visibility of the "Fix Version" field, but that seems to have not done anything. Note that I did not perform the full re-index as it suggested.

Note also that we have no releases in use here.

well the answer seems to have been that I needed to run a re-index after changing the visibility of the "Fix Version" field.  I can now add items to the plan.

Still tracking down an issue with _extra_ items being included in the plan, but that's in a separate support ticket.

Hi @Matt Cechini ,

I would suggest starting with this document, it explains a few reasons why issues are not shown in a plan.

If it doesn't help, look at your View settings filters and verify that no filter is enabled.
