Adding a Story from within a Plan - 'Something Created, but not an Issue

Hi

We have Advanced Roadmaps working

however, when we try to create a Story from within the Plan, 'something' is created that looks like a Story, but is essentially just the project ID i.e. in this case 'WLTH' , but no Story ID

in the screen image you can see that a story with ID = 'WLTH' is created

we can create Stories from within the project as is typically the case, and they are then reflected in the Plan correctly e.g. 'WLTH-57' as below

the correctly created Story can be seen in the backlog, but no the 'incorrect' one

I noticed this also happens with Epics, and may be the same for other issue types

Any ideas :-)

Cheers

Warde

It looks like you still need to review you changes in the plan to actually create the story in your project.

Try clicking clicking on the "Review changes" button in the upper right corner of the Plans screen From there you can select which of your changes to commit to your project.

Hi Warde,

The issue updates you perform within a plan are not saved in Jira until you commit the changes through the “Review Changes” Dialog box. This includes issue creation as well. So if you wish to permanently create an issue, make sure to select the desired changes and commit them in Jira, which will display the issue ID as you expected.

Thanks,
