Hi. Issues in my Jira Portfolio schedule view only seem to start on the current day - they are automatically adjusting to start on the current day. I presume this is caused by the 'scheduled start' mechanism.
We're running kanban. The issues have estimates and progress - child issues completed and time logged in the past.
I've seen in Jira Portfolio tutorial videos (such as this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LexaHkZls3g), issues starting prior to the current date indicator. Also see the screenshot below, which is from the video I've shared...
Why do my issues continue to adjust their start dates to today's date, in Portfolio's schedule view? I'm hoping that issue progress is shown on the schedule/timeline view.
I hope I make sense.
Thanks.
EDIT:
I think my understanding of the timeline's concept has been flawed. I've now realised that the reason my issues always start "today" is because the view is showing remaining time & effort for the unresolved issues.
Still, I'm confused as to how the screenshot from the tutorial video shows issues in the past on the timeline. Hmmm.
I think I've worked it out. My understanding of the timeline's concept was flawed. I've now realised that the reason my issues always start "today" is because the plan is for remaining/unresolved issues.
