I am using Portfolio for release planning and using team velocity to plan team capacity. We have mixed teams which some team members are able to run at a higher velocity. Is there a way I can view individual historical velocity? I then want set their individual velocity for future sprints to show how moving high performers will result in a larger impact on future releases.
This is probably not an issue anymore! I stumbled upon this thread while searching for a solution to a different issue and thought will share my inputs. I agree with Krista that Portfolio is a team thing rather than for individuals. At the same time basic concept of Velocity should be understood that Velocity in agile is always for a team as a whole and not for individuals. The essence of Agile practice comes to fruition only when we have the team working as one unit and letting the individual capabilities and capacities blend into the team effort as a whole.
Portfolio really looks at a whole team, not an individual person. You might be able look at a board/filter with one person and add that as a "team" in Portfolio and get the individual velocity that way.
