Portfolio - Make Plan Live

Hi

Once you have used Portfolio to work out a plan and allocated Epics to sprints, how do you actually make this live ?  By this I mean, currently none of the stories have had their Sprint field updated to reflect the plan.

I presume I don't manually have to re-arrange the backlog, assign to sprints, etc having carefully got this all organised in Portfolio ???

Review and commit changes to apply all, some, or none of your changes. Select the "uncommitted changes" tab/ button at the top left next to the portfolio title.

If you are using scenarios, then select your scenario, then apply as above.

Agreed, but that is not updating sprints and the like.

Sure, if I manually through Portfolio go through and update every issue/PBI with the sprint I can then press commit to store in Jira, but that's not the bit I need automated (I could have done that directly in Jira).

The bit I need is that one I have pressed "Calculate", the app runs through and updates all the PBIs with the scheduled sprint ready for me to commit.

Otherwise I may just as well set the sprint the old way in Jira directly

There are issues raised and resolved to build the functionality in Atlassian, but I have not seen the functionality. Unfortunately, assigning sprints is still manual as far as I know. Consider it a baseline, then build from there :/
