How to pull in a team's historical velocity with the new version of Portfolio?

Nick Fenton July 25, 2019

Hello All,

We recently upgraded to the latest version of Portfolio (3.6) but are having issues with team velocities. In the previous version when we created a team or added a shared team to a plan, Portfolio would allow us the use the teams historical velocity.

Now it seems this option is no longer available and is only a manually set number instead.

Is there a way to still pull the historical velocities of teams in the new version?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Nick F.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for your valuable feedback. Currently, there is no way to explore the past velocity in the new version of Portfolio.

You can view the historical velocities in the Jira. Please have a look at the Jira documentation.

In case you want the past velocity to be shown in the new version of Portfolio, you can give in-product feedback or raise a feature request at https://jira.atlassian.com/.

I hope this helps, let us know in case you have further questions.

Regards,

Portfolio for Jira

Hello Chiragkumar,

Thank you for the insight. That is unfortunate to lose this functionality but we can just manually keep the velocity updated as the teams mature.

Cheers,

Nick Fenton.
