A way to share a link to browser view without needing access to the tool (Jira) itself.

Nikki DuBois September 16, 2022

We have some executive who would not "need" Jira access but would like to see the advance portfolio roadmap. Is there a way to create a URL to see view only without having access to the tools since they do not work out of the tools?

You can share your plan either as a link, embed, Confluence, CSV, or Image, just click on Share as up in the right-hand corner.

Yes, however, they all have to have access to the Atlassian suite in order to view via link, embed, confluence. The printing in CSV or Image is not nice enough for our executives and I would like to be able to have them view the "link" in the web browser without needing to login to Jira/Confluence and have access to certain projects to view.

Hi @Nikki DuBois

I'm a little late to the party, but the best solution in this case is to export as a pdf from the answer above. Unfortunately, having a public link to your Jira data presents a data security risk as your planning data could, in theory, be accessed by anyone. It's for this reason that we require permissions and access to view plans.

Cheers

You could use the Anonymous Access permission for this. Also, it appears that Atlassian is rolling out new features for this purpose. Here is the article about it.
