Tips and Tricks best practice on integration with Roadmunk

Current State: we have our EPICs and business initiative created in Roadmunk. The main purpose of that is to communicate with senior management and share a public view of the roadmap.

We started using the Advanced roadmap, we like the level of details and mapping dependency access team. We have been created epic manually from RoadMunk.

Here are some of the questions I have in mind:

  • What was your experience with initial integration?
  • Does that integration go both ways?
    •  Roadmunk creates epics in Jira. 
    • Jira progress or status update status in Roadmunk
  • How to ensure both are in sync?

We used Roadmunk for portfolio roadmap purposes sometime back but stopped using it as we couldn't really connect it to the project teams' work dynamically. Hence we are currently embarking on a journey with JIRA Advanced Roadmaps which is very intuitive and easily rolls up teams' work at portfolio level.
