Hi,

I'm trying to use the cloneIssue function in a script.

Everything works fine but i just wanted to know if there is a way to keep the status of the original issue.

Is a parameter like "CloneIssue.FIELD_STATE" exist ?

Regards,

Laurent

Hi Laurent,

When you clone an issue you basically create a new issue, whilst copying all field data from your original issue. Since you create a new issue it is natural that it gains the status your 'Create' transition leads to. With that in mind, if you want your clones to gain the same status as your original issue, you'll need to transition it to this status in your code.
