Groovy - how to check if an issue is a sub-task

Hi

I am building a custom scripted validator in Groovy and within my script I need to identify whether the current issue is a type of sub-task.  Is there a way I can check this?

Welcome to the community !!

To update a field value, the field should be present in Edit Screen of that ticket type. So go to project settings --> Issues --> Screens. Update the Edit Screen of the particular Ticket type and add the custom field in it. 

Please note: You should be a Jira admin to update the screens.
