How to approve a Service Desk Issue?

I created an issue in Jira SD as a Service Request with Approvals. So the status of said issue is currently listed as "Waiting for Approval". But, I don't see a way to actually approve the issue or change the status to something else.

It looks like the workflow is set to allow the approval and moving to the next stage, but that's as far as I've gotten.

Hi @Heather Dubin ,

Jira Service Desk approvals rely on the following configuration made within the workflow:

jsd-approval.PNG

That said, once you enter an approval status, the users defined by the 'Get approvers from' configuration (here: users selected in the Approvers field) will receive an email to approve the issue. Per default, only those users are able to push an issue forward then.

If you're an administrator, please check the corresponding configuration. If not, you should reach out for her/him.

Cheers
Thorsten
