Greenhopper Days Remaining in Sprint Gadget problem

We are running the Labs feature "paralell sprints" and are currently hosting 2 sprints in the same board against the same backlog.

Trying to get the Days Remaining in sprint to work on our dash. The gadget is totally not working, see the snapshots below for more info:

Hey there, Jakob.

Referring to the screenshot(s) that you have provided, what we can see from the from the Dashboard's GreenHopper Days Remaining in Sprint, it is showing 3 days. However, the fact that the Sprint just started today (8/5/2013) should be showing 16 days. Am I getting right?

There might be a possibility that the problem is caused by the gadget not being able to grab the actual amount of days remaining from GreenHopper sprint T2 Sprint 6 2013. Can you try to perform the following to see if it helps or not?

  1. Shutdown JIRA instance
  2. Delete the contents of JIRA Home Directory\plugins\.osgi-plugins directory
  3. Delete the contents of JIRA Home Directory\plugins\.bundled-plugins directory
  4. Delete the contents of JIRA Installation Directory\work directory
  5. Restart JIRA instance
  6. Perform re-indexing

After that, try to refresh your board again and see if it is still showing the same number.

Warm regards,

Danial

Are you sure it is safe to delete all the directories you mention? There is a lot of jar files and plugin information. Also you said delete JIRA installation\work directory, our work directory is C:\Program Files\Atlassian\JIRA\bin. So you mean delete all the files in C:\Program Files\Atlassian\JIRA\bin?

We followed the steps above.

It is working! I think. Looks good now.

Hey there, Jakob.

Good to know that it is working now. Congratulations!

Warm regards,

Danial

Jakob, I'm having exactly the same issue; what fixed the problem for you in the end?

We did the stuff below. Then it started to work.

Has anyone been able to get this gadget working with the Paralell Sprints Labs feature?

Hi again,

Nope, that did not solve this problem.

We still have inconsitencies between the gadgets estimation of the remaining days which totally differs from the ones that the actual two sprints in the board has in config, see snapshots on original post.

Any other actions to be taken on this?

Thanks, I will send this to our Jira admin. Will get back to this topic with the result.
