Display content of an existing issue in create screen

Edited

Hi,

I have an existing issue (f.e ABC-1) and I want to create a new issue, but the description of ABC-1 should be added in create screen.

Do you have a script for me?
Any experience with such a solution or any recommendations?

Is it possible to copy all values from an existing jira-issue that appears for a new ticket n the create screen? I am looking for a smart script which copies all entries plus new custom fields in future if it will be added.

Big thanks in advance!

Br

I use the Clone Plus addon for that.  The standard cloning functionality is very similar to what you are suggesting.

Doing it with scriptrunner would be a lot of work
