I'm trying to use script listener to copy components between linked issues. I can't find a groovy code that works for Jira server.

I'd tried this: https://library.adaptavist.com/entity/update-a-field-across-all-the-linked-issues-itsm

Jira: 8.13.2
Scriptrunner: 6.19.0

but has a lot of mistakes and doesn't work.

Any help?

Thanks:

Hi Marcela!

One thing to highlight is that the linked script is for custom fields, but component is a system field. There's a slightly different approach needed, but I don't appear to have an example to hand.

I have created a support ticket regarding this Adaptavist Library script for you at https://productsupport.adaptavist.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/49/ALISUP-211 and will have one of our developers help you out there :-)

We'll also amend the title of this script to be "Update a Custom Field..." so it's more clear.

Cheers,
