Hi,
our (small) company has colleagues on different locations in Germany and Spain.
We're using JIRA via Cloud and we're interested in some networking whenever some has the time and the topics are interesting.
Question 1:
Can we join to a user group event in Germany (f.e. Berlin, Sachsen, Hamburg, Munich) or in Spain (Barcelona, Madrid) easily or must we be a member of this single group then?
Question 2:
Do we have to register in advance or can we simply visit the event then?
thanks
Volker
You can easily join an Atlassian User group and subscribe to get notifications about their future events.
Just visit https://ace.atlassian.com/
Search for city/ country in which you wish to attend the aug events and you will be able to find the respective Atlassian User Group.
Visit the group page to check out details regarding upcoming/ future events near you.
Registering in advance is recommended since it helps the host/ AUG leader to make the appropriate arrangements for sitting, food, etc.

Hi Volker. We would be happy to have you and you can simply visit, there is no membership per se, but as Deepanshu already wrote, RSVP via https://ace.atlassian.com/berlin (in our case) would be highly apreciated, so that we can plan venue size and catering. You can find our schedule for 2020 and our contact information here: https://aug-bb.atlassian.net, also info about past events so that you know what to expect.
One question from my side: Do you have people working in all those locations? That sounds like an interesting use case for organizing distributed and/or remote work. We are always looking for user stories, even for short lightning talks. Again: would be very happy to have you.
We will meet informally for breakfast on January 30th, our February meeting will be all about scaling in clouds (not only Atlassian Cloud, but running private instances in cloud environments), March again breakfast, four days before the summit (me actually leaving after an hour to catch my plane :-) ) and in April we will have our summit recap. Also thinking about a meeting during summit, so should you or one of your colleagues be in Las Vegas: Looking forward to hear from you.
Happy holidays from Berlin.
Joerg
