Hi there! I hope this is the right place to post this question, and also curious if others have been experiencing the same / feel the same.
After Atlassian Community Events, sometimes I will get an email if I missed it (sometimes even if I actually did attend). I end up attending so many (and sometimes missing some) that when I get this email (pasted below) I can't effectively take the survey, because it's generic and doesn't tell me which event it's referring to.
Is there a way we can include somewhere in the email which missed event triggered the email?
Hi @Harrison Ponce ,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention! When we register for multiple events at once, we get event-specific info in the ‘thank you’ and survey mail if we make it. But if we miss an event, it’s hard to figure out which one we missed because the info isn’t in the mail or the survey form. To fix this, we have to manually find the event we registered for, which can be a bit of a hassle.
The only way to fix this is to simply fill up the event details of those we missed.
Agree with you, but sometimes I do get event missed emails for ones I actually attended (e.g., YouTube live events).
It seems like there would be a somewhat easy way to just add a variable for the specific event name in the email. Maybe not.

Hey @Harrison Ponce ,
Sorry for the late reply! I was swamped with work. First of all, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year!
To answer your question, I’ve also felt that way when I first started attending community events. But now, I don’t have that issue anymore. Maybe you could try using the ace link only (for eg. https://ace.atlassian.com/j/s28sbv82b5u99/3cca5f80) provided to open the YouTube live event. That link will track if the user is redirected to the virtual event or not at that time. If you open that link well in advance, it might not capture the event. So, keep that in mind for next time. I hope this helps!

@Harrison Ponce this answer from @Shivam Sharma is correct. You need to make sure you join the event using the link in the event invite. I too have joined many ACE events for the Live Learning chapter directly on LinkedIn and have not received credit for attendance AND received the "We missed you" email. The only way for the system to know you attended is to see that you were redirected to the event via the link in the email.

Thanks @Shivam Sharma and @Andy Gladstone - that makes sense. I'll take this as the answer for just making sure to receive credit.
Still think it would be nice if the email would link back to the specific event or at least have the name of the event in the email.

You’re absolutely right here @Harrison Ponce —this is a valid point! For attended events, the feedback forms do include the event name, but for missed ones, we only get generic Google Forms without it. Adding the event name or a link in the email would make things much clearer.
Thanks for bringing this up—hopefully, the Atlassian Community Event Team will consider it! 🙌

May be, your profile email in atlassian & attend the event from different email ?

Hey there - I'm not sure what your suggestion is exactly. I attend the events by RSVP'ing with the same community profile. It won't work to attend from different accounts as there are so many events.
