Community Leaders are connectors, ambassadors, and mentors. On the online community, they serve as thought leaders, product experts, and moderators.
Myself and @Dan Tombs both separately joined as community leaders earlier this year. Without knowing it, we were creating chapters in Portsmouth and Southampton, 2 cities that are pretty close to each other. Once we got in touch with each other, we saw value in working with each other to increase our reach. Then, once we met for a beer, we realised that we had a lot in common with our goals and values and that there was so much more that can be achieved if we combine.
So we merged the Portsmouth ACE into the Southampton ACE and created the Solent chapter.
