Hi, I am trying to see the Excel file in the Confluence page. It gives me the error as below:

We can't preview this file. You'll have to download the file to view it. 

My file looks like below. 

Name: xyz.xlsx

Size: 380KB

Please help.

I've the same issue with the Excel addon, see https://confluence.atlassian.com/conf719/view-file-macro-1157466962.html#excel

I found out that the Excel file cannot be shown/previewed if the Excel file size exceeds 2MB!
So for me it seems to be an Excel addon bug!

Ah, I've only seen right now that this don't seems to be the issue in this case since @Priti Kothari mentioned an Excel file size of only 380KB!

Nice one @Stefan Schweizer  - I've been annoyed by this issue for about 2 years! The 2MB limit was why my file was not displaying.

Hi @Priti Kothari 

Is the issue happening for just one excel or all the excel files? Also, are you running confluence on server or data centre?

I will suggest you tail the confluence logs while previewing the excel.

The Confluence log location would be - <confluence-home>/logs/atlassian-confluence.log

Check whether you see any errors related to the sandbox process being killed.
