Hey all,
Does Confluence have any way of verifying a pages content on a regular schedule? I am dumbfounded that this is not a thing as one of the number one criticisms of Confluence in most orgs I have been in is "its always out of date".
Being able to assign an owner and ping them on schedule to give the page a thumbs up or rewrite would solve this
I thought Guru solved this well.

Everyone in your organization will have access to the person who knows best. You'll
never worry that your knowledge is out-of date or inaccurate because it will be flowing
fresh from the source.
Thanks
Hi Simon
Welcome to the community!
Confluence is a very popular collaboration tool, but giving your team confidence that the content is up to date can be difficult. As Bill and Carolyn have mentioned there are apps available on the Marketplace that can help you extend the capability of Confluence.
Comala Document Management is one of apps available on Confluence Cloud, it comes with a Content Expiry workflow that helps keep your content fresh. Approved pages will expire after a period of time, so that they can be reviewed again. The workflow is completely customisable to suit your organisation's process.

P.S. Thanks for the recommendation Bill!
I have used this plugin in the past to write workflows for documents. You could also write a workflow to ping people on a regular basis.

Thanks for this Bill but a workflow kind of stops people from contributing freely. We aren't trying to create gates but rather info on recency.

Hi Simon,
I agree this is a big challenge at any organization. When I was a Confluence Server admin, I liked Midori's app: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/123/better-content-archiving-for-confluence?hosting=server&tab=overview
But unfortunately, it's not on Cloud. I see a small lightweight free app that can do a first step in identifying old content, but it doesn't assign an owner/ping them on a schedule.

Waiting also to see if others have ideas...
Carolyn

Thanks for the mention, @carolyn french
Better Content Archiving is indeed the ultimate Content Lifecycle Management solution for Confluence, and the good news is that it will be coming to Confluence Cloud!
