Remove SLA Custom Field
Hi all I've been poking around for ages, and I cannot seem to find an answer. Can I delete an SLA from Jira completely? I had an SLA that I no longer need (named Manager Alert). Not needed any more as automation fulfils what the SLA did. I can't see anywhere within my settings that I can delete SLAs. I'd like to use the…

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream (or ice lollies)
Good evening to all, and welcome to this, the second in my series of food related Friday Fun topics. The first topic covered was cake, and the discussion is here if you'd like a read. This little section is about ice cream, specifically ice cream vans. These 4 wheeled delights do exactly what they say on the side, and can…

Dear Work Therapist ... how much is too much?
Dear Work Therapist Is there such a thing as too much Atlassian? I'm worried it is spilling over into my personal life... I keep thinking of ways I can use JWM out of work. It is wrong to try and suggest to my fiancée that we use it to plan the wedding (asking for a friend!) Should I think about asking family members to…

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to describe your perfect three course meal. I'll go first: Starter: Prawn cocktail Main: A really good…

Most difficult thing to get to grips with
Hi all Just wondering what the most difficult thing people found to get to grips with when using Jira for the first time? Mine was (and is!) permissions - there are just so many!

Giving Kudos
I really like that I can give Kudos to other users - the only problem is I don't always remember! It would be great if we could have a 'give kudos' button next to the 'like' button on people's posts

Welcome from Wolverhampton
Hi everyone Thought I'd do a little post to say a friendly 'hello' from the Wolverhampton group. We're a very friendly group from the middle of the UK. We host regular (currently virtual) events and would love to see more people in the group. Whilst we are geographically located in the UK, we do welcome members from all…

Top tip for new users?
Hi all Just wondering what your top tip would be for new users? If I had to pick one, then mine would be: Get a test area and use it! You might end up duplicating work, but at least you know you can't mess anything up! Interested to know everyone else's thoughts?

Any tips for a former admin?
Hi all So I recently moved jobs - and my new place doesn't use Atlassian (yet!)... I'm worried I will end up 'out of the loop' if I'm not using and administering the products every day. Does anyone have any tips on staying current and up to date?

Atlympics - Hello from the middle of England
Hello dear reader from my little slice of England. I'm Liam, and I'm a co-leader for the Wolverhampton chapter. We're quite a new chapter, founded by the wonderful Aly, and we are slowly finding our feet! Feel free to stop by and say hello, everyone is welcome and we're all very friendly! In addition to being new as a…

Disable email requests but keep email comments
I'm sure this is something I should know the answer to, but I can't find it for the life of me... so to the Community I go! If I turn off email requests for a service desk, so that new requests cannot be created by email does this turn off the ability to reply to tickets by email?

Friday Fun: Cupcakes for all!
Disclaimer - I am not offering cupcakes for all! Good morning Community! Welcome to Friday! I've been involved in Friday Fun for a while now - trying to comment regularly and it's great learning all of these strange and unusual facts about fellow Community members. When I was asked to do my own post, I thought about what I…

Remote working and Jira
Hi all Just wondering what people's opinions are around remote working and being a Jira consultant. Do people find that the client usually wants regular face to face contact, or that they're happy for the work to be done remotely? How are people finding this during the current Covid situation, and do people think this will…

When I update Due Date in Issue A, I want to transition Issue B (in same Epic) to 'Done'
Hi all I can't get my automation to work. I have a number of epics in my project, with each epic having the same 11 Tasks in them. All 11 have the following convention "NAME - Task A" "NAME - Task B", etc. The 'name' is different for each epic. I want Task A to update to 'Done' when a due date is entered for Task B Anyone…

Issues with colleagues when working at home
I'm still not sure how I feel about working from home, it has drawbacks and benefits. My major drawback is going from dual large screens to just a laptop screen is tough. I love that my commute is shorter though! The thing I absolutely love though is getting to spend all day with our incredibly cute pug, Peggy. Yes she…

Kudos Feedback
Loving the Kudos so far - although I think I separate page, rather than drop down would be better. I also think that challenges should be grouped, possibly in a kind of knowledge tree - so you could see what one challenge unlocks and where you can get to if you work enough. Happy to talk further about my feedback if anyone…

Where has the red padlock gone?
The 'red padlock' for changing issue security seems to have disappeared from my tickets - it was there until recently and I don't think I have done anything. Has anyone else experienced this?

Working from home and office
Is anyone else struggling with doing both? We're doing a mix, where needed, and I find it really difficult to switch between the two environments. Any advice from anyone who has been doing this for a while? Thanks in advance

Automation and Legacy Automation
Let me start by saying I love automation! I think it's great. I love thee simple ones that assign an issue automatically, I love the complicated ones that fire off tasks to a different desk, sub tasks on the current desk, and completion of a thousand different custom fields. I just love automation! That being said, I…

Suggestion for a 'Starred' page within Community
Just a thought here, but I think there should be an option to 'star' pages within the community so that you can revisit them later. I don't always want to 'watch' pages, and the notifications get lost within my email. With the 'star' system, it would be an easy way to keep track of things you want to re-read or read again…
