Some good news to share: Easy Issue Templates for Jira has earned the Atlassian Enterprise Certified (AEC) badge.

🏅 What AEC means

AEC is Atlassian’s trust program for Marketplace apps. Atlassian checks each app against enterprise requirements for security, compliance, reliability, privacy, accessibility, and responsible AI use. It goes beyond the baseline security requirements for Marketplace cloud apps.

To qualify, an app must run on Forge and meet requirements including an annual penetration test through an accepted testing route, Bug Bounty participation, SOC 2 Type II or ISO 27001 compliance, a public Trust Center, and a committed response time for critical support issues. Atlassian validates these requirements through documentation checks, automated scanning, and other program-specific checks.

🔐 What it changes for admins and security teams

AEC gives your security team a verified starting point and may help reduce questionnaires and back-and-forth before your team can start using the app. It doesn’t replace your internal assessment: permissions, data handling, and your organisation’s specific requirements still need a look.

AEC also replaces Cloud Fortified, which Atlassian is phasing out by the end of 2026.
