Issues with Atlassian site / admin abilities?

Hi,

For the past 40 minutes I've been running into errors trying to access my Atlassian workspace? When I navigate to <prefix>.atlassian.net I get stuck in a redirect loop. I'm able to access admin.atlassian.com but I'm unable to manage users, invite new emails, or manage groups.

Is anyone else having these issues? I tried submitting a normal support ticket but it keeps rejecting my cloud URL even though I'm providing valid workspaces.

Could you pls try the following:

Open an Incognito window and try logging into https://start.atlassian.com first, then clicking your site tile from there.
In Chrome/Edge/Firefox, go to settings and clear cookies and site data specifically for:
1. *.atlassian.com
2. *.atlassian.net
Check site status in Admin
1. Navigate to admin.atlassian.com, go to Products —> Sites.
2. Verify whether the site status shows as Active, Suspended, or Deactivated. (If a billing or subscription lapse occurred, sites can be temporarily suspended, which generates redirect loops and prevents user management).

Hi Anwesha,

I'm testing in a fresh Incognito window after clearing cookies & site data for those atlassian sites. When I go to start.atlassian.com, I see the tile for Jira but clicking it leads to the same redirect loop. From admin.atlassian.com, I don't see a "Products" button but I can see that in the Apps, Jira is listed there without issue.

Pls make sure you are on the correct org and have Admin access to see the Products.

In admin.atlassian.com, look at the top-left dropdown next to the Atlassian logo.
Click the dropdown to see if multiple Organizations are listed.
- If there are multiple, switch between them to see if the Products tab and your <prefix>.atlassian.net site appear under another organization.
Check your actual role:
- Go to Directory > Users and find your own account.
- Verify what role is assigned under Administrative roles. If you do not have Organization admin, you will not be able to manage sites, products, or site-wide groups.

Hi,

Yes I'm sure that I'm in the correct site under organization. This is affecting other users & emails at my company as well, and also affects my attempts to add a user with a personal gmail account as well.

The redirect loop consistently happens, whether I'm logged in as the original creator or an invited user.

I did notice the "Users" page is now loading (previously the page was completely broken for me), so I'm trying to understand if there's a known bug that's in the process of recovery right now.

If it helps, my exact redirect loop (when I try to "open Jira" while logged-in as an organization admin is between /login, /login/authorize, and /join/user-access. And I have already approved the organization admin's Approval Request.

does your account have Jira app access assigned under Atlassian Administration → Directory → Users?

Organization admin permissions alone don't necessarily grant Jira access.

Atlassian previously tracked a similar redirect-loop issue under JRACLOUD-93719, although that was marked as fixed.

I'll flag this for Atlassian assistance, especially since you're unable to submit a support ticket and it looks like not Standard Issue but technical issue.

After checking your account, I noticed one of your Jira instanced was deactivated on October 12th due to inactivity. My suspicion is that that's the instance you've been trying to access. The fact that you can't submit a support request is further evidence that this might be the case.

Assuming that's the site in question, since it was deactivated less than 15 days ago, you should be able to reactivate it yourself by following these steps:

Log in to admin.atlassian.com/billing.
Select the Billing Account associated with your subscription.
Click Subscriptions on the left-hand menu.
Select the Inactive tab on the right.
Find your site in the list and click Reactivate.

Hi,

Inactivity shouldn't have been the problem because I was testing on multiple fresh accounts & Atlassian subdomains, and I was experiencing the same issues on all of them. I'm testing now and it seems like the website seems to be working (user management is functioning and I'm able to access the Jira site) so I'll close this issue, but I do want to reiterate that the entire site was broken for me yesterday in being able to set up and manage new Jira workspaces.
