Synched Blocks is not working

For context, I am on the Cloud for both Confluence and Jira.

When I add a receiving Synced Block into a Jira issue's Description field from a transmitting block in Confluence, the block appears while editing.

However, when I click Save, nothing appears and the synced information fails to display in the Jira description.

But if I edit the Description field again, the Synced Block with synced information is still there.

This issue occurs because of how Atlassian handles Synced Blocks across different rendering engines in Jira and Confluence. However you could try the below workarounds:

Add static anchor text above and below the block: To prevent Jira’s view renderer from treating the field as empty and collapsing it:
1. Go to the Jira issue description —> Edit
2. Add a line of plain text or a heading directly above the Synced Block (e.g., 📋 **Synced Documentation:**)
3. Press Enter below the Synced Block and add a single space or separator line (---).
4. Click Save.
Ensure the confluence source page is published:
1. Navigate to the Confluence page —> Make sure that the page is fully published (not showing an "Unpublished changes" badge).
2. Ensure to check the lock icon in the top right to ensure there are no Page Restrictions blocking other team members or Jira integration services from reading the page.
Use confluence Smart link/ Embed instead : If the Synced Block renderer remains blank due to the active beta bug, use Confluence Smart Links/ Embeds, which are 100% supported in Jira's view mode:
1. In confluence, copy the direct URL of the page or section heading.
2. In the Jira Description field, paste the link.
3. Click the link and change it's display type from Inline to Embed (or Card).
4. Click Save.
Test in an Incognito
1. Open the Jira issue in a private/incognito window with all browser extensions disabled.
2. If the Synced Block renders correctly in view mode, whitelist *.atlassian.net and *.atlassian.com in your ad blocker or disable third-party cookie blocking for your Atlassian site.

Good find @Dan Capps! I've tried replicating this in my instance and I got the same result as yourself.

I've also tried checking JAC for open requests/bugs, but couldn't find one specifically for this (closest is this one JRACLOUD-98524).
Anyway, I've got a support ticket open for this and I'll probably be able to share exact tracker once the team checks it out and replies.

Workaround 1 failed.

I had already made sure the Confluence page was published.

Workaround 3 will be our solution going forward.

Does this still appear to be an issue? So I've just tried re-creating this on one of our demo instances, and it appears that synced blocks now sync to Jira 👀 At least it works for me.

Also, support didn't manage to re-create this the other day, so it might be that someone actually fixed the issue (if it was there).
