How to clear all Done tickets from a kanban board

I am using a kanban board in a team managed project. It used to be easy to clear all Done tickets from the board, with the three dot options at the top of the done column header. This was previously answered here.

However with the new Jira UI, the three dot options are missing from the column headers. There doesn't seem to be any way to now clear done tickets from the board. I don't want to have to wait 2 weeks for them to clear automatically. I have looked in all the board settings including the column configurations which does not have this option either.

Alex, you asked about the backlog twice and I answered about the board both times. Sorry about that.

There is no equivalent control for the backlog, which is why you are seeing what you are seeing. Hide done work items after is a board view setting. The Backlog screen has its own View settings button, but what sits behind it is version panel, epic panel, quick filters, density, fields, swimlanes. No done-hiding option in there. So the setting that drained your Done column was never going to reach the backlog. The per-user note does apply to both, any change you make is yours and nobody else's.

The backlog runs on the fixed behaviour instead, done items drop out on their own after about 14 days, and that part you cannot configure.

Want them gone sooner? Move them by hand. In the backlog, Ctrl-click the done items (Cmd on a Mac), or Shift-click for a run of them, then the ... menu on one of the selected ones, Bulk change, Move work items.

On the reply after mine, the support doc does still describe Done column, More actions, Clear Done work items, and I would not go by it here, it has not caught up with the board harmonisation rollout. JRACLOUD-99078 is the request to get that button back, and its own description says Atlassian removed the ability to manually clear all Done items from Kanban boards at once. Gathering Interest, 7 votes today, up from 3 when I first looked. Someone read that doc the same way on another thread a fortnight ago and the asker settled it with a screenshot of the menu, no such option in it.

Thanks for the reply. The old functionality used to clear both the board and the backlog, however I'm only seeing Done tickets removed form the board. Do you know how I can clear the backlog too?

Thanks for the reply. I have now been able to hide the done tickets from the board after one day. However, they still remain in the backlog. The old functionality used to clear both the board and the backlog - do you know how I can clear the backlog too?
