Hello I want to import my CSV file but i am not able to do this i am facing error in mapping guideme

Hello Team,

I am currently attempting to import a CSV file into Jira Cloud using the External System Import (CSV) option. However, I am unable to successfully upload and complete the import process.

I have tried multiple approaches, including:

* Verifying CSV format and column headers

* Re-saving the file in UTF-8 (Comma delimited) format

* Checking issue type mappings

* Reviewing parent-child structure configuration

* Removing special characters and validating required fields

Despite these checks, the import process either fails during upload or returns validation/mapping errors.

Could you please assist with the following:

* Confirming the correct CSV structure required for our project configuration

* Reviewing whether there are any permission-related restrictions on my account

* Identifying any file size or encoding limitations

* Providing guidance on resolving the upload/import error

What work around i would suggest is convert your csv data to json and use bulk queries in postman to do RCA of the issue 
you can convert csv to json via Excel → Save as JSON via online converter or use node.js do so it will help you to identify the issue

Here in this user community we are users of our own Jira instances. We don't have access to the system you are accessing.

Please provide us with a sample of the data you are trying to import.

Please tell us what field mapping you are creating.

Share with us the messages you are getting.

Into what type of Space are you importing the data? Go to the View All Spaces page and tell us what it says in the Type column for that Space.

Do you have permission to manually create items in that space?
