Is it possible to create table using markdown?

hello all,

Is it possible to create table with standard markdown code like this in Jira or Confluence?

| First Header  | Second Header |
| ------------- | ------------- |
| Content Cell  | Content Cell  |
| Content Cell  | Content Cell  |

I could not get it to work, I just want to confirm with the community if it is not possible.

Thank you for your reply.

Both Jira Description editor and Confluence are already wysiwyg markdown editors..

For example, I can type # title to get heading

Note that internally, the rich format text in Jira and Confluence are stored in the ADF format.

To support markdown (MD), you will need a third party app like one of these for Jira or one of these for Confluence.
