Automation that adds organisation as Watcher

Question

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to, depending on a Request type, we can add as Watchers an organisation in the project.

My intuition was to build an automation for this but the action 'add watchers' doesn't allow it.

I know that customers have a field called "Share with" which let them select for which organisation the work item should  be shared.

However some customers are in multiple organisation in the project. Another way to do it would be to setup a default value for the field "Share with" depending on the Request Type.

Please let me know your thoughts

Are you referring to the Organization  field in JSM

If yes presently there is. a limitation here https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-14475 *(More ways to work with Organization field in Automation - conditions, action to send email to users in an organization, identify organization of request participants)

But like John mentioned you can do have taht as workaround or Reporter can choose an organization to share during the request creation on the Portal

Hi Julien,

So, this is what the Request Participants field is for. You can add the Organization to that, which is also the Share with. Why do you need it added as Watchers and not just the Request Participants?
