"Create Work Item" Field Descriptions Mismatch

Hello,

I am within a team-managed software project and observed this issue. Despite the work type field description being one thing and the field default description being another, when I am viewing the field within "create a work item" screen, the displayed description is completely different. Any insight into this? I read other articles about field configurations, but I am unsure if that applies here since it is a team-managed project.

I am not aware of any others.  When I tried with two fields and "accidentally" selected the global one in the project, that description appeared with field (rather than the project-specific one).

You appear to be on a paid Jira license, so I recommend asking your Jira Site Admin to submit a ticket to Atlassian Support to take a look: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/

There does not appear to be a global field named R&D. Any other possibilities?

Are there multiple fields named R&D, with one at the team-managed project scope and another global?

If so, perhaps someone added both to the project's available fields and the view is showing the global one.
