Create standard stories under a feature

In an older version of Jira I was able to create multiple stories under a feature through JQL. With the newer version of Jira I am not able to find that functionality anymore, maybe its hidden in automation, but so far I am struggling creating a rule. Hopefully the community can help me with that!

So what I want is as followed:

For each producttype (feature) there are standard steps that needs to be done (story). It would be nice if there could be a trigger like:

If a feature is created with label X (e.g. product X)
- than create story X Y C under that feature

Other ideas are welcome as well!

creating multiple stories under a feature using JQL - by the fault, there isn't an issue type called feature, though you could define a new issue type with that name, but it would be at the same level as a story. As well, you don't create stories using JQL
producttype - there is no such entity in Jira called product type

now, regarding your automation rule, it seems that you want to create issues as children of another issue once created. You refer to this again as product type, so not sure exactly what that is. However, let me explain a solution that might be suitable for you.

trigger - work item created
condition - type = epic
condition - labels = xxxxx
action - create story 1
action - create story 2...

Thanks for you're quick reply! You're right about the fact that we might use different terms, but I think you understand what I want to achieve.

I will give it another shot to explain:

When I create an Epic with the label CWS I would like to automatically generate stories that's attached to the Epic.

Feature = Epic to clarify

So I've worked out your automation rule (see screenshot), but it doesn't work... The epic that's created has no stories and has the label CWS and kmtio.

Any idea what I did wrong?

you need to set the Parent in the newly created stories. example
