Automation execution on Template?

Hello! I'm currently trying to build a template page that when published, automatically adds a label. I want to add an executable action that when executed, removes the label and adds a new label. Smart Buttons would be perfect for this, but a configured custom smart button cannot be added to a template (yet, I hope). Can someone please assist?

You can not "link" an automation to a specific template.

What you can do is that you activate the automation globally (or in the space to which you would create new pages using that specific template) and in the automation action you filter if a newly created page was from the given template.

For example, if the template always adds the label "foobar", then you should have the automation action work like this:

1. triggered for every newly created page
2. if it is not labelled with "foobar", then terminate the rule
3. (you can remove the label "foobar" to have a clean state)
4. ... this is your actual logic
